I am having so much fun using the Sale-a-bration stamps! One of the sets I was able to get for *FREE* is "Funky Four". I decided to pull it out yesterday and make a couple of cards.
I also tried out some new accessories: hemp twine and the button embosslit die from the Mini Occasions Catalog. Those brown buttons are actually made of card stock! I just put paper between the embossing plates, ran it through my Big Shot machine, and voila - embossed and cut buttons! I love that I can now coordinate buttons (ahem, "buttons") perfectly with my cards.
*Note for my open house guests: both cards were made with that clear-mount word set that I couldn't get to work at my party. *blush* However, I had NO problems at all before the open house as well as yesterday! I think when working with the smaller clear-mount stamps you have to make sure your hands are clean and the surface of the stamp and acrylic block are clean too. Using lotion before the open house was my down fall. I'll admit, nervous clammy hands didn't help either :).
